Most people just ask what's on today. Go a lot further. With your calendar, inbox, documents and meeting transcripts connected, have Claude write up yesterday and brief you on today, in one go.

The daily prep prompt

One tap. Briefed before 9am.

One thing before you copy anything: this prompt only works off what Claude can see. Run it with nothing connected and you'll get a polite shrug. Do the two minutes of setup below first, then run it tomorrow morning.

Do this first, or the prompt does nothing

Connect your calendar and inbox. Required. This is what the prompt reads. No connectors, nothing to prep from.

Connect your documents and note-taker if you use one. The follow-ups and database notes are written from your meeting transcripts. Without them, Claude is guessing at what was said.

Know what this is and isn't. Connected, this prompt is genuinely useful. But the version that drafts in your voice, knows your clients and reads your desk comes from a properly set up Project, and building that is Sessions 4 to 6 of the course.

The prompt
YESTERDAY: Look at yesterday's meetings in my calendar. For each one, find the meeting transcript or my notes, and do two things. (1) Draft a follow-up email in my voice that picks up exactly what was discussed and agreed, with one clear next step. (2) Write short notes I can paste straight into my database: the key points, decisions, next steps and actions. TODAY: Look at today's calendar. For each meeting, tell me who I'm meeting and the company, pull the relevant history from my past emails and where we got to, and give me a few prep notes and one or two smart things to raise. INBOX: Flag anything that needs a reply today, and remind me what I said I'd follow up on. Lay it all out clearly under Yesterday, Today and Inbox.
